My interest in counselling goes back over twenty years when I first discovered, as a client, how effective it can be for an individual to have the time and space to express anything they want in a safe and confidential setting. My approach to counselling is to offer clients just this. I work in a non-judgemental, warm and empathic manner, and help clients to explore their innermost thoughts and feelings. Through this process, clients are able to determine the best solution for themselves or, if appropriate, reach a place of acceptance.
I am a qualified counsellor, an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and have experience supporting clients through a variety of issues in both short-term and long-term therapy. From May 2019 to January 2021, I also taught at diploma-level counselling training as Course Lead. I hold the following qualifications:
I have worked in the charity and higher education sectors. A large part of this work has involved setting up, managing and developing counselling services. |
