Clinical Supervision
Supervision is an integral part of counselling practice. It is an opportunity for you to reflect on your work with clients, consider self-care, and explore new ways of working. I am a qualified clinical supervisor for counsellors and others in the helping professions, and also hold a PhD in Ethics. Supervision is available for adult client work (individuals and couples). My approach to supervision is integrative. I work within person-centred, psychodynamic and creative approaches. I am an approved supervisor for the Life-Force School of Counselling and can work with trainee counsellors. Fees per hour for qualified counsellors are £50 in person and £40 by Zoom Fees per hour for trainee counsellors are £45 in person and £35 by Zoom Fees for organisations vary I offer an introductory 30-minute session to prospective supervisees at no charge. This session could help us assess whether we are a good fit for supervision work. For a number of years, I have delivered training on supporting clients who have experienced baby loss of all types. If you would like to strengthen your work in this area and already have supervision arrangements in place, you are welcome to book ad-hoc supervision sessions with me to explore this aspect of your client work. If you'd like to read the Bereavement Support Book I wrote for the charity, Sands, you can download a PDF. The book is available in ten languages.
